Claire Burbridge

Artists will create a nature scene on a black background with colored pencils, crayons, gel pens, or metallic markers. These scenes can be adapted to teach about habitats, nature, or to practice attention to detail.

Kwan Young Chun

Artists will construct abstract sculptural designs using the art of origami. The paper used can be recycled from newspapers, magazines, or journal pages.

Mark Bradford

Artists will work with paper from magazines, atlases, books, etc. to create a layered collage. This lesson can be taught in conjunction with a lesson on the color wheel and color theory.

Naeemeh Naeemaei

Artists will explore the concept of mirrored realities, such as the life cycle of animals, the growth of themselves, or an abstract design.

Roger Shimomura

Artists will design comic panels that tell a story. It is encouraged for artists to choose themselves as the protagonist of the story.

Ralph Steadman

Artists will search for images in splattered paint and work to enhance those images using colors and imagination.
